Common Questions About Shower Enclosures

  • What Are the Main Types of Shower Enclosures Available?

Wishon Co, Inc. offers frameless, semi-frameless, framed, sliding, and barn door designs in Costa Mesa, CA, each suited to different bathroom layouts and design preferences.

  • What Glass Thickness Options Are Typically Offered for Shower Enclosures?

Wishon Co, Inc. fabricates units using 3/8" or 1/2" tempered safety glass. The right thickness usually depends on the enclosure style, panel size, and hardware selected.

  • How Long Does It Typically Take to Install a Shower Enclosure?

Installation timelines can vary based on the complexity of the project, custom measurements, and fabrication lead time. For an accurate timeframe, call the team directly at (949) 722-7696.

  • Are Shower Enclosures Safe for Daily Use?

Yes. Wishon Co, Inc. uses tempered safety glass, which is engineered to be significantly stronger than standard glass and to break into small, blunt pieces if damaged, reducing the risk of injury.

  • Can a Shower Enclosure Be Installed Over an Existing Tub?

In many cases, yes. Framed and semi-frameless designs may be configured for tub installations. Wishon Co, Inc. takes precise measurements to ensure a proper fit regardless of the layout.

  • What Hardware Finishes Are Available for Glass Units?

Hardware finishes include chrome, black, and other options designed to complement existing bathroom fixtures. The team can guide you through available options during a consultation.

  • Do Glass Units Require Special Maintenance?

Frameless and semi-frameless glass units generally require routine cleaning with non-abrasive products. Some glass treatments may help reduce water spots and mineral buildup over time.

  • Does Wishon Co, Inc. Offer Free Estimates for Glass Enclosure Projects?

Free estimates are available. You can reach the team via the contact page or call (949) 722-7696 to schedule a consultation and measurement appointment.

  • What Makes a Glass Installation "Custom"?

A custom glass installation is fabricated to your exact measurements and design preferences rather than using stock sizes, allowing for a precise fit in any bathroom configuration.

  • What Glass Options Are Available for Custom Glass Shower Enclosures?

Options can include standard clear tempered glass, low-iron Starfire glass for enhanced clarity, and various decorative or frosted glass treatments depending on the desired level of privacy and style.

  • Can I Choose My Own Hardware for a Custom Glass Shower Enclosure?

Yes. Wishon Co, Inc. offers a variety of hardware configurations and finishes for custom glass installations, including glass-to-glass hinges, chrome hardware, black hardware, and other options to match your bathroom aesthetic.

  • How Is a Custom Glass Shower Enclosure Measured and Fabricated?

Technicians visit the property to take precise on-site measurements. The glass is then cut and fabricated in-house to those exact specifications before professional installation.

  • Are Custom Glass Shower Enclosures More Durable Than Prefabricated Options?

Custom glass units built with tempered safety glass and premium hardware may offer greater longevity and a better fit. Prefabricated alternatives can be prone to gaps and seal failures over time.

  • What Is the Difference Between Frameless and Semi-Frameless Custom Enclosures?

Frameless enclosures use only glass and minimal hardware for a sleek, open look. Semi-frameless designs add metal framing around select panels for extra structural support, while keeping a cleaner profile than fully framed options.

  • How Do I Get Started With a Custom Glass Shower Enclosure from Wishon Co, Inc.?
